Montech has recently unveiled its latest mechanical keyboard – the MKey. Featuring a design inspired by the grandeur of the Osaka Castle in Japan, including colour accents and stable infrastructure.

The MKey keyboard lineup boasts pre-lubed Gateron G Pro 2.0 switches (Red, Yellow, and Brown), ensuring smooth and precise key actuation. Moreover, the switches are hot-swappable and offer compatibility with 3-pin and 5-pin switches, so you can swap them out with your preferred mechanical switch of choice.

Setting itself apart from conventional sound-dampening foam, the MKey incorporates silicone pads that envelop the PCB and the bottom of the keyboard. These pads absorb unwanted acoustic vibrations, delivering optimal acoustics. Additionally, the keyboards feature a gasket structure, further improving the vibration and sound absorption. The PBT keycaps have undergone a dye-sublimation printing process on all sides, ensuring users enjoy long-lasting aesthetics.

Under each key is a south-facing LED that enhances under-glow illumination for RGB enthusiasts. The keyboard offers 18 built-in RGB lighting modes that can be easily controlled using the multi-functional rotary knob. The MKey keyboards also feature an RGB-lit rotary dial, a versatile tool with three modes: zoom in and out, volume adjustment, and RGB mode switching. Users can cycle through these modes by pressing down on the dial.

Other features these keyboards have include a Windows Key Lock function, N-key rollover, and macro recording function. These can be accessed directly on the keyboard or through the Montech MKey software. Notably, the F12 key has an alternate "Boss Key!" function, a shortcut to return to the desktop instantly. Additionally, the MKey offers adjustable three-level incline angles for maximum ergonomic comfort and a braided USB-C cable. Each keyboard comes with two sets of Osaka Castle-themed custom keycaps. The MKey keyboards are now available, with the TKL variant going for $89 and the full-size keyboard for $99.
